Please watch Constantine! I’m desperate for it to get ratings and another season (just read some of my DC on TV posts for GeekGirlPenPals.com to see me plead/champion it)! Give it a few episodes though, things really pick up with episode 3 and just keep getting better. It comes back on the 16th, so you’ve got a little time to catch up before it gets going again.

And not exactly a space opera but more of a SF romance, but its got great worldbuilding and could provide some amazing inspiration…I loved Ann Aguirre’s Sirantha Jax series (it starts with Grimspace).

And I’d loved to see your Cloud City Leia if you complete it!

    • I have definitely meant to watch Constantine and just haven’t had the time – so it’s on my list for this weekend. I keep hearing good things about it and I loved the comics!

Thanks so much for the rec! I’m looking forward to checking the series out!!

I’m DEFINITELY marathoning Constantine this weekend, I can’t wait! Thanks for the rec, this is the first time people have recommended this particular series to me so I guess I definitely have to read it!

  • Have you read The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey? I absolutely loved the 1st book (Leviathan Wakes). It had vomit zombies, a Noir-ish detective, and space ships. I didn’t enjoy the later books as much, but that’s mainly because they were too heavy on intergalactic politics for my taste. Personally, I prefer my Scifi to be more akin to Alien than Star Wars, but if Space Opera’s what you’re looking for, it’s a good series to try.
