About Catrina

Catrina Dennis is a writer, host, and producer based in Los Angeles, California. Her combined love for film, comics and video games has served her throughout her career, bringing imagination to her award-winning social media campaigns, integrity to her work as an entertainment journalist, and insight to her developing career as a screenwriter.

Her editorial work has been featured on Den of Geek, Syfy Wire, The Wrap, Remezcla, the Birth.Movies.Death Commemorative Magazine series, and the official Star Wars blog. She has served as an on-camera host at countless outlets (including GamerHub.TV, Den of Geek and Syfy Wire), interviewing some of the entertainment industry’s biggest celebrities and creators. She is no stranger to red carpets, roundtables, pop-up events, panel moderation and vlog editing.

As a content creator and social media manager, Catrina has worked with some of the best creators in new media, including Geek & Sundry. She created digital campaigns for several of the network’s shows, such as the breakout hit Spellslingers, and a successful campaign to accompany the crowdfunding campaign for TableTop Season 3. Catrina has worked with digital marketing agencies to create new and exciting viral campaigns for award-winning shows such as Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle, Saban’s Power Rangers: Dino Charge, and the prolific video game documentary series, The Game Makers. Catrina has worked with iconic pop culture brands like Wizard World Comic Con, managing up to 20 different audience markets at once across their social media networks.

She is the creator of the ongoing webcomic series Treasure in the Core, a story about space pirates and righting past wrongs, which she writes, animates, and uploads once every month. Catrina is also currently working on her first video game, a visual novel known as El Caleuche, which draws ghostly inspiration from the local legends throughout her father’s home country of Chile.

Most recently, Catrina accepted the role of Assistant Producer for the documentary series Looking for Leia. She’s also taken to weaving stories together with friends as an occasional guest on Saving Throw’s Tempting Fate. Her most recent television appearances include lending her expertise to tell the history of Superman on Syfy’s Krypton: Making of the Legend, and guesting on Geek & Sundry’s The Wednesday Club to gush over Star Wars comics.
